Kroger Skillet Meals & Sides

It's that time of year again. Don't get me wrong, I love the holidays but they can be very stressful. Between shopping, Elf on the Shelf , spending time with family and getting my daughter's birthday planned (which happens to be the 22nd of December) I get easily stressed this time of year. Meals get put on the back burner. I end up tossing a frozen pizza or meal in the oven and call it done. Not the ideal foods to be eating but they are quick and easy.

I have also been under the weather. Sinus problems have kept me down for nearly 3 weeks. Kroger Skillet meals have been a huge blessing for me and my family while I've been feeling miserable. Minimal time to make and even my fiance can handle cooking them!

Now that I've found Kroger Skillet meals I don't have to worry about feeding my family those gross quick fix meals. One convenient skillet meal bag is all it takes to get that perfect meal cooking. They come in a variety so there is something for everyone, even the picky eater!

Kroger also has salad kits and garlic bread that make perfect sides to go along with Kroger Skillet meals. So if the holidays stress you out and your family is sick of frozen meals, give Kroger Skillet meals a try!

Hectic Holidays

I have not been keeping up with my blog and for that I apologize. We're smack dab in the middle of the holiday season and it's been a bit hectic around here. Don't get me wrong, I love the holidays. They can a bit crazy though. My fiance and I both have decent size families. Said families do holiday get-togethers. They  tend to overlap one another. There lies the stress of the holidays. I want to spend time with both families and enjoy their company ... well, most everyone's company. You all know what I'm talking about. The select few people that you tolerate as best as you can. We all deal with it. I put on a happy face and push through.

My daughter's birthday falls on the 22nd of December. She'll be 8 this year. Yes I know, not very well planned out. I get told all the time that my fiance and I did not think it over when we chose to conceive. Well, here's the thing : we were 19, going on 20. We wanted a child together and thinking about the date she would be born was far from our minds.

Now we have a December 'baby' forever. I wouldn't change that for the world. Sure a birth date in the Spring or Summer would have been more convenient but I love my baby girl just the same. We have had some interesting weather for her birthday parties the past years. That adds stress to the holidays too. I have my fingers and toes crossed, as I do every year, that her birthday party will not get ruined by Old Man Winter and the snow he tends to dump upon Ohio on the exact day of the party.

I get a lot of people saying 'Poor girl, Christmas takes away from the excitement of her birthday.' No way! We do an excellent job of not letting Christmas take away from her birthday. The bank account does not like me this time of year. To those who don't have a child in December be thankful. Money runs very tight with buying Christmas presents, birthday party supplies and birthday presents. Not to mention we pay to rent a place to have her party. When buying our home we didn't take into consideration how little space we really have to throw parties. It's perfect for the 3 of us plus our dog but it's not party material.

On top of buying for birthday and Christmas, we have 6 nephews and 4 nieces. All of which we buy a Christmas present for. Now are you getting why I say the holidays are hectic?! I know I'm not alone in this 'boat'.

With that said, Happy Holidays ya'll!
